THE CORTLANDIA FUND, INC. (THE "FUND") WAS FORMED TO PROVIDE GRANTS TO NEEDY EMPLOYEES AND THEIR FAMILIES WHEN THEY FACE PERSONAL OR FAMILY HARDSHIPS. THE FUND IS INTENDED TO BE A PUBLIC CHARITY EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AS DESCRIBED IN IRS PUBLICATION 3833, DISASTER RELIEF. RECIPIENTS OF AID FROM THE FUND WILL BE THOSE MEMBERS OF THE WORKFORCE OF CORTLAND AND ITS AFFILIATED ENTITIES ("CORTLAND") AND THEIR FAMILIES FACING FINANCIAL NEED AS A RESULT OF AN UNEXPECTED HARDSHIP OR CRISIS.
