Grants of up to $4,000 to Georgia and South Carolina nonprofit organizations for small capacity building programs serving the communities in the funding source's service area. Funding is intended to expand or strengthen the missions of community organizations. Grants must benefit the Community Foundation for the Central Savannah River Area's six-county area that includes Richmond, Burke, McDuffie, and Columbia counties in Georgia and Aiken and Edgefield counties in South Carolina.

Grant Usage: These are capacity building grants and may be used for one or more of the following:

  • Advertising/Marketing
  • Consulting Services Around Organizational Resiliency
  • Equipment Purchases
  • Staff Development/Training
  • Web or IT Enhancements or Updates

Estimated Size of Grant:

Grant Cap: $4,000 – It is anticipated that the average grant awards will be around $2,000 to $2,500

The Community Foundation for the CSRA understands that capacity building is critical when developing and sustaining a strong nonprofit organization.

Counties that may apply: Aiken and Edgefield in South Carolina; Burke, Columbia, McDuffie, and Richmond in Georgia
