Grants of up to $7,500 to Georgia nonprofit organizations, government entities, and charitable, cultural, and educational organizations in eligible counties to benefit local children, women, and elderly residents. Funding is intended to help individuals in need. Eligible proposals benefit Burke, Columbia, McDuffie, and Richmond counties.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Grant Cap: $7,500. It is anticipated that the average grant awards will be between $5,000 and $7,500

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The Community Foundation considers grant applications from organizations that are determined as charitable under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, public entities, or other charitable, educational, or cultural organizations.

The Marry Warren Fund has the same grant funding exclusions as the Community Foundation’s Community Grants process:
- Grants for individuals
- Capital campaigns
- Deficit financing and debt retirement
- Endowments
- Political organizations or campaigns
- Lobbying legislators or influencing elections
- Programs that require participation in religious services and/or education as a condition of receiving services
- Special fundraising events/celebration functions
- Marketing endeavors and personal research, unless the marketing is directly connected to the program in your grant application
- Core operating expenses for public and private elementary and secondary schools and public and private colleges and universities
- Projects that are typically the funding responsibility of federal, state, or local governments
- Scholarship programs; however, exceptions are made for summer camp or afterschool program scholarships
- Programs that have already taken place or will be completed in the current calendar year.
