Grants to USA faculty to encourage further innovation of materials, instruments, and methods to expand scientific research. A letter of intent is required prior to submitting a full application. Funding is intended to foster new advances in chemistry and life sciences by promising young faculty members in the early stages of their academic careers that have not yet received a major award from another organization.
Projects proposed for the BYI program should be truly innovative, high-risk, and show promise for contributing to significant advances.
